Tao 3:02 - Us And Them
“Some days I stand at the edge of our monastery and look at the people down there,” said the student, “They seem so involved in their material world; their work, their family, their evening TV, their tears, their laughter. And here we are, constantly at war with that materialism, looking for Nirvana. I wonder what they think of us.”
“What do you think of them?” asked the Tao.
“I think they are wasting their lives,” said the student.
“Wonder if they think any differently of us,” said the Tao.
